Post 5: Starting your day with a soulful bhajan

 Human as a person evolves himself/ herself through various stages in life via experiences whether good or bad. And as the numerous quotes say that how you use that experience is what defines your choices and your life ahead!

Not to get too philosophical but this blog post today is about one such experience.

My parents never forced me and my sibling to recite bhajan or pray daily but it was instilled in us that we worship Lord Ganesha before beginning anything new as he is known as Vignaharta which means destroyer of all vigna or hardships. To this day I believed strongly in Lord Ganesha and I like to believe that he sees my devotion as my son Shaurya was born in 2018 on the last day of Ganeshotsav which is a festival in India to celebrate Lord Ganesha. His birth date according to Hindu calendar was Anant Chaturdashi!!!

Therefore whenever I am low, need some motivation or just need to reach out to someone I listen to Sukharta dukhaega which is the most popular bhajan sinh for Lord Ganesha.

There are a couple others that I like and will post it here but as I was driving today I heard this one called “Achyutam Keshavam” which is a bhajan sung for Lord Krishna.

The beauty about all these songs today is that the artists have their own rendition to the original bhajana and they create something so beautiful with newer instruments that people like me who would be skeptical to listen to bhajans other than Lord Ganeshas the one would listen to them with full attention. 

So I would like to know how many of you start your days with bhajans or modern bhajans if I may say so and what do you listen to do I could have some suggestions to add to my list.
